(Teo) Forcht Dagi, MD, DmedSc, MPH, MBA, FACS, FRCSEd, Board Member
Teo Forcht Dagi is an experienced leader with a distinguished career in neurosurgery, medical innovation and venture capital. Dr. Dagi is a board certified neurosurgeon trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He holds faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and Queen’s University Belfast. He served as President of the Georgia Neurosurgical Society and as a Director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has sat on numerous public and private boards, has been involved in many start-ups and early stage companies, and served as a partner at and advisor to prominent venture capital funds. He received an AB from Columbia, and an MD and MPH from Johns Hopkins. He holds an MBA with distinction from Wharton and was awarded a DMedSc (Honoris Causae) from Queen’s University Belfast for contributions to medicine and public service.
Murph McKeon, MBA – Vice President, Finance And Administration
Murph joined Vittamed as Director of Finance in October 2015 and has over 20 years of financial leadership experience in the medical device industry. Before joining Vittamed, Mr. McKeon served as Senior Manager for Business Development int he Ultrasound group at Philips Healthcare. He held several leadership roles in finance as well for Philips Healthcare. Prior ro joining Philips Healthcare, Mr. McKeon worked int he banking industry funding to small companies. Mr. McKeon received a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University and an MBA fro the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Ron Scharf PhD, MBA – Vice President, Product Development
Ron holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Erlangen, Germany, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Ron has over 20 years of experience successfully developing and managing the development of medical devices and drug/device combinations, from concept through production, US and international regulatory approvals, and post-launch support. Ron has been an executive, Sr. Manager, and individual contributor to multinational concerns (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Alcon, Bausch & Lomb, Johnson & Johnson Vision) as well as startups. His portfolio includes several award-winning devices like multi-modal cardiovascular imaging systems, ophthalmic femtosecond lasers, corneal topography systems, wavefront aberrometers, microwave thermal keratoplasty systems, and corneal cross-linking drug/device combinations with associated consumables and disposables
Jonathan S. Maltz, PhD – Director of Technology
Supratik Bose, PhD – Imaging and Algorithm
Supratik has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology. Kharagpur and data mining cerrtification from Stanford university. He is holder of multiple patents and has 15+ years of experience as imaging and algorithm engineer / scientist in defence research laboratories and in medical devices industry.
Evaldas Kalvaitis, PhD Technical Director
Prior to joining Vittamed, Evaldas worked at Telematics Science Centre at Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). From 2007 – 2012 he worked as CEO at leading construction companies in Lithuania and Norway, where he successfully managed and implemented more than ten large commercial construction projects. During the same period he worked as internal auditor at Concern “Achema group” consisting of more than 50 companies. Evaldas holds a bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania).
